Susan Sontag’s article “Writers on Writing” was written with fiction writers in mind. How might you apply her discussion about revision to your own work as an essay writer? Choose a block of text from page 2 of the essay for your response. Be sure to quote Sontag in your response. Add a page citation.
Synthesis and the media: Discuss the impact of civil disobedience on contemporary protests and marches in the U.S. Apply anything what Dr. King says about nonviolent direct action to one (1) recent protest you have seen. Be specific by naming the protest, date, etc. Cite both King and any source you research; be sure to use a reliable news/media source.
Synthesis and modes: Using conversations from at least one (1) of the attached videos and Chapter I titled “Thick,” explain why Cottom chose the name Thick for her book. Be sure to also quote her directly from the book. Add a page citation to your response.
