5 S tools are an approach to streamlining flow and reducing waste in an organization.The 5 S’s stand for:
Sort – Get rid of everything not used in the process
Straighten – Organize what you keep, have a place for everything and keep everything in their place
Scrub – Clean the area
Standardize – Establish procedures for staying organized
Sustain – Maintain improvements
